Cavetown Fairfax Concert reviews
I really wanted to leave a great review, but…
The Doobie Brothers and Dave Mason both delivered exceptional performances, with a great song line-up and solid execution by the bands. The Doobie Brothers played nearly a full 90-minute set, leaving no room for disappointment.
Cavetown, however, faced several issues during their set. The sound engineer excessively drove the speakers, resulting in undesirable effects. It is recommended to invest in additional loudspeakers for better sound reinforcement instead of overdriving existing ones. Despite these technical difficulties, Cavetown's performance fell short of expectations based on past experiences.
Venue-related problems overshadowed Cavetown's performance issues. The parking situation was a nightmare, with long wait times to enter and exit. Parking attendants seemed more preoccupied with personal matters than efficiently managing the flow of vehicles. Signage issues on Prince William Parkway added to the frustration of navigating to the venue.
Once inside the concert grounds, the staff provided excellent service. They were particularly attentive to a handicapped member of the party, offering assistance to ensure a comfortable experience. The food and drink vendors also deserve praise for their quick and efficient service, with minimal waiting times.
